Pausing... captivated by the splendor of the sun descending into the sea. Inhaling the fresh clean air while listening to the eternal music of ocean waves forming and unfurling at the water's edge. Whoosh! An osprey makes its precise dive into the water, ascending again toward the now brilliant heavens with its catch.

It is in relishing moments like these that bring memories to David and Tracey Coddington of their decision to move to Mendocino County 30 years ago. They both wanted to pursue their life long passions of homesteading from the ground up and of raising their children in a harmonious community atmosphere. Their dreams included growing organic gardens and orchards, being creative with their hands and imaginations, and living in a healthy environment. Being lovers of the outdoors they enjoy the many opportunities to interact with their environment: hiking, fishing, ocean diving, boating or just be present in the beauty of Mendocino's natural world.

Together David and Tracey combine their talents to introduce and educate buyers to the Mendocino Coast real estate market. Having lived in the county for so many years, they know this area better than almost anyone and use their insider's perspective to the advantage of their many contented clients. For buyers who haven't lived in rural areas, it is essential to call upon David and Tracey's 30 years of living in Mendocino County.

For Sellers, they provide the best possible service and market exposure in property sales. With steady correspondence, they keep their clients well informed of market trends, current conditions and available properties. Their goal is to combine their attention to detail in real estate with their experience in building and developing properties. They enjoy introducing people to the wholesomely dynamic Mendocino lifestyle and the exceptional community that they feel blessed to call home.

Call them now to take your first step in becoming part of the Mendocino Coast Community.

I first came to the Mendocino coast in 1985 to visit my parents who had moved here from Cambria , California. I instantly fell in love with the beauty and majesty of the area, and knew that I would live here someday. In 1992 I enrolled in the Marine Science program at College of the Redwood in Fort Bragg, and spent the next two years studying everything about the North Coasts Ocean and land habitat. After graduating with an AS in Marine Science I moved south again, to work in sales and marketing for Patagonia clothing, but returned full time in 2000 for good. I have bought and sold homes in many areas of the Mendocino Coast, and have gained much appreciation and knowledge of the distinct flavors it has to offer in regards to climate, peace and quiet and beauty. I have owned and operated Kayak Mendocino for 17 years, and have taken many visitors and residents up close and personal to the rugged coast and through the sea caves of the Little River headlands. It is my pleasure to serve as an agent for those looking to purchase and sell homes, as it is such an exciting step in their lives, and I know how important good service is through this process.

I came to the Mendocino Coast with my family while still a teenager in 1970. I loved the surrounding beauty and opportunities to explore them. I’ve worked in construction for many years here in Mendocino. There is such a wide variety of homes on the Coast: there seems to be something for everybody! I’m happy to have the opportunity to join Big River Realty and look forward to helping you find whatever you might be looking for in real estate.

I am a long time resident of Mendocino County and the Coast. I first lived inland in beautiful Covelo before moving to the Coast when I was just seven years old.  After graduating from high school I moved away to attend college and explore what life beyond Mendocino had to offer. Through all my travels though, I always returned to Mendocino and consider it my lifelong home.

I received my Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy before attending Law School, receiving my Juris Doctor in 2013.

I have a deep appreciation and understanding of Mendocino County and an extensive network of local friends and professional contacts, all of which provide me with a unique ability to serve my clients.

I have been a Realtor in the Mendocino area for 14 years, having recently joined the Big River Realty team in 2013. Starting in 2002 as a real estate agent, I was quickly recognized for being a top producing agent. I went on to get my Broker's license in 2007. My success in real estate is attributed to my dedication to the profession and my commitment to service.

I first discovered the Mendocino Coast back in 1988 when a friend in Sacramento recommended the area as a vacation get-away for my partner and I. We were immediately smitten by the beautiful vistas and the relaxed feeling of the community. We followed-up that first trip with an annual visit for the next 10 years. Then in 1998, we knew that we could no longer wait to make this area our permanent home. Becoming members of this community was the best decision we ever made.

During a 13-year stint as the office manger for a local medical office, I had the opportunity to come to know so many wonderful individuals in the community and to become even more enamored by this gracious and supportive population. Every year, we participate in numerous special celebrations, fund-raising events, and community activities that make the Mendocino Coast a magical place to live.

In 2011, I was fortunate to land the position of office manager at Big River Realty. This new venture became an instant perfect fit for me. Now, as a licensed REALTOR®, I can bring even more opportunity for service to the office, the community, and future home-owners to the area.

I have lived on the beautiful Mendocino Coast for some 30 years and have been selling real estate here for almost 20 years. I specialize in historic homes, but serve both buyers and sellers in a wide range, from first time home seekers looking for affordable housing to others wanting to invest in oceanfront estates.

I am a member of the National Trust for Historic Preservation, the Coastal Mendocino Association of Realtors, where I have served as Membership Director, the California Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors.

I was appointed by both Mendocino County supervisors Liz Henry and Patti Campbell to serve on the Mendocino County Community Development Commission to assist low income people, senior citizens and college students in the county with affordable housing.

As a Notary Public, I also do free notary services at the local hospital for persons unable to come to my office.

For six years I served on the Fort Bragg Planning Commission where I learned a great deal about the permitting process and land use.

In 1994, I had a "speaking role" playing the part of a real estate agent in a movie filmed in Mendocino, "The Haunting of Sea Cliff Inn" with Ally Sheedy, Billy Moses and Louise Fletcher of "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" fame. I have also appeared in a few TV commercials.

I have one daughter, who went all through the Mendocino school system and is currently teaching at the middle school here, and am a proud grandma of an awesome seven year old granddaughter.

In addition to real estate, I have just had my first book published, "A Mendocino Mystery" featuring a female private detective in the village of Mendocino. It is available in the local book stores and on the internet.

If you want a REALTOR who is involved in the community, has been a consistent Top Producer, knows land use issues, Coastal Development Permit requirements, works with first time buyers as well as experienced investors, you should give me a call at 707-961-0937, my home number where I can always be reached in the evenings, or my cell phone 707 357-2846.
