I have lived on the beautiful Mendocino Coast for some 30 years and have been selling real estate here for almost 20 years. I specialize in historic homes, but serve both buyers and sellers in a wide range, from first time home seekers looking for affordable housing to others wanting to invest in oceanfront estates.

I am a member of the National Trust for Historic Preservation, the Coastal Mendocino Association of Realtors, where I have served as Membership Director, the California Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors.

I was appointed by both Mendocino County supervisors Liz Henry and Patti Campbell to serve on the Mendocino County Community Development Commission to assist low income people, senior citizens and college students in the county with affordable housing.

As a Notary Public, I also do free notary services at the local hospital for persons unable to come to my office.

For six years I served on the Fort Bragg Planning Commission where I learned a great deal about the permitting process and land use.

In 1994, I had a "speaking role" playing the part of a real estate agent in a movie filmed in Mendocino, "The Haunting of Sea Cliff Inn" with Ally Sheedy, Billy Moses and Louise Fletcher of "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" fame. I have also appeared in a few TV commercials.

I have one daughter, who went all through the Mendocino school system and is currently teaching at the middle school here, and am a proud grandma of an awesome seven year old granddaughter.

In addition to real estate, I have just had my first book published, "A Mendocino Mystery" featuring a female private detective in the village of Mendocino. It is available in the local book stores and on the internet.

I was born and raised in Fort Bragg and raised my own family here. Outside of being away for my 2 years in the Service and my years in college I have always lived here.
I became a Real Estate Broker in 1973 and have actively been in the business since then. The north coast has always been appealing to me. For years I have longed to live by the ocean and finally got my chance. After an enjoyable career as an elementary school teacher in Benicia (20 years) and raising one son and adopting and raising another son I retired and moved to the Mendocino coast.

Finding retirement somewhat humdrum getting a real estate license seemed like a great idea. I have been a realtor for 3 years and was just sworn in, for a second year, to serving on the Coastal Board of Realtors. I am also a member for Equal Opportunity Housing Committee and the Ethics Committee.

My career in real estate began in 1992, when I became a partner in Whole Earth Enterprises, an owner-builder property development company working in residential home design and project management. In 1999 an opportunity arose to manage a luxury home as a short-term rental, thus beginning my career in vacation home rental and property management. Finding the field of real estate to be ever-interesting and creative, I received my sales license from the California Department of Real Estate in 2002.

In 2005 I decided to focus primarily on vacation rental, and in 2007, under the new name Whole Earth Home Rentals, the business expanded to include properties in Mexico and Hawaii. Originally from Hawaii, I have been living in beautiful Mendocino County since 1992.

In my wildest dreams I never thought I’d ever be a Real Estate agent. But a dear friend who is an investor in the Real Estate market coaxed me into getting my license so that I could work with her.
